👌 Resolution/Answer

  • Click Distribution > External groups
  • Use the search bar to locate the specific external group you want to configure, or browse through the list

 

  • Click on the external group and go to the Access tab to access its configuration page.
    • You'll find three key settings:
      • Access -  determines how tagged media is made available to the group:
        • Auto sharing (default) - gives users automatic access to all media tagged with their group's permissions
        • Manual sharing - restricts access to only media that has been explicitly shared with them
        • Portal access - allows the group to access tagged media through ScorePlay's Portal feature (note that this is not enabled by default. Contact your Customer Success Manager for more information). 
      • Tag access
        • Specify which tags the group can access
      • Exclude tags
        • Restrict the external group from accessing media with certain tags. 
      • Note: Leaving the Tag access and Exclude tags will result in the group having access to all media

 

  • Click Apply to all users to update permissions
    • Clicking Yes will result in already assigned users being updated with the new rules
    • Clicking No will result in only newly assigned users being restricted by the rules

 

  • Click the Media tab to verify that your access rules are working correctly (it will show all media that the group has access to).
