In order for you to view and manage user policies of account types, the Users > Can view account types and Can edit account types permissions should be enabled on your account.
In order for you to view and manage user policies of external groups, the External group > Can view and Can edit permissions should be enabled on your account.

To configure at the account type level:
- Go to
Configure - Select
Users - Select any account type
- Go to the
Policiestab - Set the download and clip rules, then click
Save policy.

To configure at the external group level:
- Go to
Distribution - Select
External Groups - Select any external group
- Go to the Policies tab
- Set overrides in the right-hand column, then click
Save policy.

- Policies set at the account type level apply to all users under that account type by default. If an external group has its own policy rules configured, those override the account type's rules for that group, field by field. This gives clients granular, tiered control over what content leaves the platform and in what form, without managing permissions user by user.
