❓ Issue/Question
- How does the Tag Access field in the User's settings work?
- I am checking a user's settings and would like to set the tags the user can access. What does the Tag Access field do?
👌 Resolution/Answer
- The
Tag Accessfield specifies which tags the user can access. The user will only have access to media associated with the tag(s) added in theTag Accessfield. If none are selected, they’ll have access to all.

The tags you add in the Tag Access field can be set with logic:
-
OR Logic (Multiple Tags in Tag Access)
- When you add multiple tags to the Tag Access field, they work with OR logic. This means the user will see all assets that contain at least one of the listed tags.
- For example, if you set:
- Tag 1:
Training - Tag 2:
Media Day
- Tag 1:
- The user would see everything that has either of these tags. This is useful when you want to give broad access across multiple content categories.

-
AND Logic (Combining Tags)
- You can also set an AND rule.
- For example, if you want a user to only see content that is both
TrainingandMedia Day, you would add both tags with AND logic. This narrows the results significantly — the user only sees assets that match all specified tags simultaneously.
