How to merge duplicate tags?

In order for you to merge tags on the platform, the Taxonomy & labels > Can edit tags permission should be enabled on your account. 

If you don't see it, reach out to your admin or refer to the Account Type Permissions Overview article for more information.

 

 

❓ Issue/Question

  • The platform shows duplicated tags.  Can we merge them all into one?
  • How to merge tags using the merge button in the “Taxonomy” tab?

👌 Resolution/Answer

  • Go to Configure > Taxonomy & labels > Tags tab

 

  • Find and select the duplicated tag you wish to merge 
  • Click the Merge tags icon in the top right panel

 

  • Under the Merge section, double-check the tag(s) you are merging
  • Under the Into section, enter the tag you are merging into

 

  • Click the Merge button
  • Check for results.
