User cannot add specific tags

• Tag restrictions
• Adding tags
• Tag already exists error

❓ Issue/Question

• I can't tag this player, but I can tag others. What's the reason?
• When I try and add the tag at the collection level it fails and says already exists but does not appear in the drop down if you type in
• User with tag restrictions is not able to find a specific tag when trying to add it to media or search for it, despite the tag existing for non-restricted accounts.
• Why my account doesn't have the permission to add tags to images even if I added it?

👌 Resolution/Answer

• Check user tag permissions
  • How to check tag restrictions of the user? 
• If the user has any tag restrictions, they should reach out to the admin to remove / adjust the tag restrictions

🥚 Cause

• User will only have the ability to add tags that are included in at least one media that the user has access to via tags restrictions. 
• If the tag isn't applied to any media that the user has access to via tag restrictions - they won't see the tag in the dropdown. 
• As soon as any tag is applied to at least one media, the user will be able to add the tag to other media as well.
