How to use the Smart Search option?

To search media using the Smart Search feature, guide yourself to the Media Library section of the platform.
Once you are in the Media Library, look at the end of the search bar where you will see the Smart button. Click this button to activate Smart Search.

Smart Search allows you to search using natural language. This means you can type a normal sentence describing what you are looking for instead of manually selecting multiple filters.
- For example, instead of selecting tags for a player, competition, and event, you can search:
  “Training videos from 2025”
- Smart Search will understand your request and create the relevant search filters automatically. These filters will appear as editable chips above the results, allowing you to review, remove, or change them before running the search.
The results will then appear based on the available media and will be ranked by relevance.

If you want to return to the traditional search method, simply click Classic at the end of the search bar. This will switch you back to Classic Search in one click.

Smart Search is only available on the web platform and can only be used from the Media Library page.
If you don't see the media you're expecting, it may be because you don't have permission to view it.

Smart Search works best when tags are unique. If two tags have the same name (for example, "Paris" the player and "Paris" the city), the search may not always interpret your request correctly.
Smart Search only searches the media description. It does not search descriptions that were copied from file metadata during ingest.
