Can FTP media uploads be automatically downloaded to local devices?

❓ Issue/Question

  • Is it possible to have an FTP folder that syncs to users’ computers, similar to Dropbox or OneDrive?
  • Is there a way to set up an automatic download of every picture that shows up in the Live feed?
  • User wants to know if there’s a supported way to access or create a shortcut to the folder where Live FTP uploads are stored, so the files are easy to reach from their computer.

 

👌 Resolution/Answer

  • ScorePlay does not currently support automatically syncing FTP uploads or Live feed media to users’ local computers (e.g. like Dropbox or OneDrive).

 

🥚 Cause

  • Once media is dropped into the FTP folder, the system transfers it to ScorePlay’s S3 storage. The FTP location is not intended for manual access or browsing (unlike a Dropbox folder).

 

🔖 Notes 

  • If needed, users may explore an external way to implement a workflow via Live mode to access and download a copy of the media to their local device.
