How to synchronize collections via the API integration

❓ Issue/Question

• How can we update our sports calendar in Scoreplay so that our events/collections for our upcoming matches will appear when uploading content?
• We wanted to ask if you could import the remaining matches of this season into the calendar.

• Hey guys, our folders for fixtures are yet to be generated with the Opta link. Can we check if this can be set up now, please? Thanks!
• I cannot see collection X on the platform, could you please help?
• The match collections for today are missing.

👌 Resolution/Answer

• Before syncing the collections make sure that the team list is synchronized, and the right seasons are created:
  • How to prepare a team for a new season 
  • How to synchronize teams & players via the API integration?
• Head over to Configure > Collection Management
• Click the Synchronize button in the top right corner

• Select the details of the collection you'd like to synchronize.
  • Sport
  • League
  • Season
  • The ScorePlay season (matching the season imported)
    • How to create a new season? 
  • Specific or all teams
  • Options: 
    • If Use flat structure is toggled, every match is a parent collection
    • If Include past collections is toggled, both future and past collections will be added
    • Schedule refresh synchronization (recommended, weekly or monthly to keep the calendar up to date)
      • Where can you find and manage the scheduled collection synchronization? 
    • If Preserve collection details is toggled, collections you renamed manually keep their names and metadata (by default they are refreshed from the provider on every sync).

• Verify the preview of the synchronization.
• Click Submit
• You'll receive a confirmation via platform notification

🔖 Notes 

• Run the operation multiple times, if you want to keep multiple competitions in sync (league, cup, ...)
• If you cannot find the collection you're looking for in a preview it's best to try marking Include past collections toggle via the Options menu.
