โ“ Issue/Question

  • Have had a serious issue reported this morning around file download mis alignment. X image download producing dressing room shot and X image producing dressing room shot
  • Only when downloading original file. Compressed image download works. Is this impacting on all image downloads via original and might it allow access to content that is not permitted?

ย

๐Ÿ‘Œ Resolution/Answer

  • Quick answer
    • This happens when two media in the same collection have the same filename. Their Original download points to the same file on your local storage, so one of them returns the other's image
    • The Compressed download isn't affected and always shows the right image
    • The ScorePlay Support team can fix the Original download for the affected media
  • Download the right image now
    • Click Download and select Compressed
  • Fix the Original download
    • Reach out to the ScorePlay Support team via Live Chat with the links to the affected media
    • The support team serves the original from the cloud copy, so the Original download shows the right image again
  • Prevent it
    • Give every file a unique filename before uploading, for example by adding the date and time

ย

๐Ÿฅš Cause

  • Each media has its own ID in ScorePlay, and the Compressed download uses it. The Original download is served from your local storage, where files are stored by collection folder and filename. Two media with the same filename in the same collection point to one local file

ย

๐Ÿ”– Notes

  • The wrong file always comes from a media with the same filename in the same collection
