External group doesn't see media with specific tag

❓ Issue/Question

• The external group X does have the tag X in the rules, however they do not have access to the content that has this tag
• I've set up the group and applied the same tags in the collection, but when I check the group's Media tab, my media library is showing empty

👌 Resolution/Answer

• Check the media has the exact tags used in the group's rules
  • Open one of the media the group should see and check its tags
    • How to check if the right tags are applied to a media?
  • Compare them with the tags in the group's Rules tab
• Check if the tags have duplicates
  • Go to Taxonomy & labels > Tags
  • Search each tag in the rule to see if one or several tags come up
  • If several tags have the exact same name, the group's rules might use one and the media another one
  • Update the group's rule to use the tag applied to the media
  • Open the group's Media tab and check the media now shows

🥚 Cause

• The workspace has two tags with the exact same name
• The group's rule uses one of them, and the media has the other one, so the media doesn't match the rule
