How to edit a user?

In order for you to edit users, the Users > Can edit users permission must be enabled on your account.

👌 Resolution/Answer

  • Navigate to Configure > Users

 

  • Click the Edit (pencil) icon next to the user

 

  • In the Edit user window, update the user’s details and settings
    • In the User type dropdown, select the account type with the permissions the user needs
    • Edit the first name, last name and email address
    • Set the validation options
      • Turn on Requires validation if their uploads need approval before they’re published to the media library
      • Turn on Validator if they can approve other users’ uploads
    • Set Access only manually shared media
      • On: the user only sees media shared with them manually
      • Off: you can add tags to define which media the user can access
    • If needed, set tag rules to control which content the user can access
      • Tag access: limits the user to specific tags
      • Exclude tags: hides content with specific tags
      • Leave both empty if the user should see all content allowed by their account type

  • Click Update user
