How do I schedule a live event in ScorePlay?

In order for you to schedule a live stream on ScorePlay, the Live > Can schedule in stream permission should be enabled on your account.

If you don't see it, reach out to your admin or refer to the Account Type Permissions Overview article for more information.

👌 Resolution/Answer

Go to Live
Click the Schedule tab
Click New schedule at the top right corner

Select your Live Ingest method by selecting the Push or Pull tab
- To know more about the difference between a PUSH or PULL ingests, refer here: What is the difference between ingesting via Push VS. Pull on ScorePlay?
Fill out the required information to schedule your stream

For PUSH Schedules

Select Receiver from the receiver dropdown-list
Input Ingest Name (Required)
Input Start date and time (Required)
- Make sure to set the “Start date” time ahead of the current time; otherwise, it won’t start.
- The start time should be set in your local timezone.
Input End date and time (Required)
- Note: You can also use the Duration slider to specify the length of your live ingest
- The end time should be set to your local time zone.
Click Next
If you wish to save the live ingest recording to a collection (Optional), you can toggle on Save to media library

Select the Collection where you want the live ingest recording to be published (Required)

Add tags (Optional)
Live Ingest Preset (select one if needed)
Click Create

For PULL Schedules

When creating schedules with PULL method, after selecting on the PULL tab, you will be presented with 2 sub-tabs (Receiver and Manual URL)

Receiver

Clicking the Receiver tab will allow you to choose a Pull receiver.

You will also see the + that allows you to create a new Pull receiver

After you have specified your Pull receiver, you would also need to complete the following fields:

Input Ingest Name (Required)
Input Start date and time (Required)
- Make sure to set the “Start date” time ahead of the current time; otherwise, it won’t start.
- The start time should be set in your local timezone.
Input End date and time (Required)
- Note: You can also use the Duration slider to specify the length of your live ingest
- The end time should be set in your local timezone.
Click Next
If you wish to save the live ingest recording to a collection (Optional), you can toggle on Save to media library

Select the Collection where you want the live ingest recording to be published (Required)

Add tags (Optional)
Live Ingest Preset (select one if needed)
Click Create

Manual URL

Clicking the Pull tab will allow you to manually input your SRT/RTMP destination

After you have specified your SRT/RTMP destination, you would also need to complete the following fields:

Input Ingest Name (Required)
Input Start date and time (Required)
- Make sure to set the “Start date” time ahead of the current time; otherwise, it won’t start.
Input End date and time (Required)
- Note: You can also use the Duration slider to specify the length of your live ingest
Click Next
If you wish to save the live ingest recording to a collection (Optional), you can toggle on Save to media library

Select the Collection where you want the live ingest recording to be published (Required)

Add tags (Optional)
Live Ingest Preset (select one if needed)
Click Create
