What is the Portal feature?

In order for you to view and/or create portal links, the External Distribution > Can view page permission should be enabled.

If you don't see it, reach out to your admin and refer to the Account Type Permissions Overview article.

Portal is a feature that allows you to create a customizable method to share media with External Groups. It can be accessed through the Distribution > External Distribution > Portal section.
Portals can be customized with titles, descriptions, watermarks, primary colors, background photos, logos, and homepage layouts. Media can be grouped by tags, teams, formats, photographers, or specific collections.
With the use of a Portal, platform admins can include or exclude tags to manage content visibility, require logins, and set embargoes, expiration dates, and extra passwords.
Portals can be set up as a sort of a marketplace (media needs to be purchased) or a free-to-use portal (content is free but may require admin validation for downloads)
