❓ Issue/Question

  • What are the different permissions and settings you can configure for a ScorePlay account?
  • What does each permission toggle do?
  • What is the impact of enabling or disabling specific permission toggles?

👌 Resolution/Answer

  • The permissions management page has 4 key sections (Quick Access, Library, Distribution, and Configure).

Quick Access

Upload

Enable all permissions

Can view page

  • Allows you to see the Upload section from the left-side menu

Can upload

  • Allows you to upload media via the Upload section

💡If this is toggled OFF and you try to upload via the web upload, you’ll still be able to specify the collection settings for your upload and “Add files” button will still be available to attach your file(s), but the upload will NOT go through. It will just show the Uploading 0 % animation OR the Infinite loading icon.

💡This feature requires the Media Library > “Can view collections” permission to be enabled, as access to the collection information to be selected is necessary in order to upload media.

  • Allows you to create an external upload link for your upload

Can use all labels in upload

  • Allows you to set which label(s) the user can set during the Upload process

💡If your platform has the Labels feature enabled, you will be able to set here which Label(s) will be available for the future uploads.

Can edit default upload settings (access, availability, etc.)

• Allows you to edit your upload settings (such as Privacy, Availability/Permissions settings, Sharing options, Embargo settings)
