Can I edit the player's external ID?

❓ Issue/Question

• I would like to grant access to the A.S.O. Médias account type, to the advanced setting of the athlete page to edit the external ID.
• A user needs to populate or edit the External ID on a player profile, but the field is greyed out and shows the message “You can't edit external IDs because they are managed by integrations”.

👌 Resolution/Answer

• If the platform has an active roster integration (such as SportRadar), player External IDs are managed by the integration and cannot be edited manually.
• If no roster integration is active, a player's External ID can be edited from the player's Advanced Settings.

🥚 Cause

• By default, External IDs are locked when player profiles are managed through an integration. This helps ensure data consistency and prevents identifiers synced from external systems from being modified manually.
