❓ Issue/Question

  • What is Automated Transcript?
  • How does Automated Transcript work?
  • What can I do with Automated Transcript?

👌 Resolution/Answer

  • Automated transcript automatically creates a transcript from the audio in your uploaded videos. This allows you to quickly review spoken content, create subtitles, and reuse video content without needing to manually transcribe it. Once a video is uploaded to ScorePlay, the transcript generation process starts automatically.
  • After media is uploaded:
    • ScorePlay analyzes the audio from the video.
    • A transcript is generated based on the spoken content detected.
    • Once processing is complete, the transcript becomes available from the media page.
    • The transcript is created in the original language of the video and is also available in English, French, and Spanish.
  • Once a transcript is available, you can:
    • View the transcript directly from the media by opening the Media Details tab.
    • Copy the transcript text for use outside of ScorePlay.
    • Download an SRT subtitle file, open the media, and select the file from the Attachments section within Media Details.

🔖 Notes

  • Automated Transcript uses the first audio track from your media file. If your video contains multiple audio tracks, make sure the audio track you want transcribed is the first one.
  • Automated Transcript is currently only available within the ScorePlay platform and is not available through the ScorePlay API.
