Can I turn a live ingest receiver on and off without entering a schedule date?

Looks like I entered the wrong date. There should just be an On and Off toggle instead of a schedule where you have to enter a date. People can and will make errors so important to simplify so its almost impossible to make an error. It would be a really important feature.
Live ingest requires a schedule with a date. Entering the wrong date means the receiver never picks up the feed, and nothing on the sending side indicates a problem. Can receivers instead be switched on and off directly, without a date to fill in?

This is not available today. Live ingest activation comes from a dated schedule, so a date is required for every receiver.
An improvement request for per-receiver on/off control without date entry has been submitted to our Product team. Product and Engineering assess these for feasibility and priority against the existing roadmap, so we can't confirm whether or when it will be delivered.
In the meantime, two things reduce the chance of a date mistake:
- Create schedules from the calendar view. Placing a schedule on a calendar day shows you the date visually as you set it, so a wrong day is obvious straight away rather than after the feed fails to arrive.
  - What is the Day View and how I can use it?
- Filter the schedule list by today's date before you start sending. If the receiver you're about to use doesn't appear, the schedule isn't live and the date needs correcting. This takes seconds and catches the error before the event rather than during it.
