External user cannot download files from FTP

💻 Environment/Context

  • FTP
  • Download
  • Permissions
  • Live section
  • External group toggle enabled in Account type section

 

In order for you to download media from the FTP section, the Live > Can download in FTP and Media Library > Can Download permission should be enabled on your account.

If you don't see it, reach out to your admin or refer to the Account Type Permissions Overview article for more information.

 

 

 

❓ Issue/Question

  • The user cannot download the photos from the FTP

 

👌 Resolution/Answer

  • Workaround:
    • Select media, instead of opening them and click Download on the right side

 

🥚 Cause

  • It's an expected behavior for users with External group account types to not see the Download button one the Media from FTP section
