How do I set an embargo during the upload?

In order for you to set an embargo, the Upload > Can edit default upload settings permission should be enabled on your account.

If you don't see it, reach out to your admin or refer to the Account Type Permissions Overview article for more information.

 

 

❓ Issue/Question

  • I would like to upload videos and set an embargo so that the videos can only be viewed on Tuesday, May 5th at 1 PM

 

👌 Resolution/Answer

  • On the Upload page, click on the Advanced Settings

 

🔖 Notes 

  • Embargo = Start gate
    • The media is on the platform but hidden from users until the embargo date/time
  • Expiration = End gate
    • The media is visible to users until the expiration date/time, then it's automatically hidden
