Types of shareable links and how to create them

In order for you to create shareable links for media and collections, the Media library > Can share permission should be enabled. 

In order for you to create shareable links for projects and/or sub-projects, the Projects > Can share permission should be enabled. 

If you don't see it, reach out to your admin and refer to the Account Type Permissions Overview article.

  • What types of shareable links are there, and how can I create them? 

 

👌 Resolution/Answer

  • What is it?
    • Share a Collection link externally, allowing access to all it's contents without requiring user sign-in. All media inside a collection will be visible, as long as they are not set to Private

 

  • How to create it?
    • Go to Collections
    • Browse or navigate through the available collections
    • Open the desired collection
    • Click on the button Share in the top-right corner
    • Click Submit
 
 
  • What is it? 
    • Use the Projects tool to create a custom content curation and share the project directly with others, without sign-in. Any media added to the project in the future will be shared automatically.

 

  • How to create it? 
    • Go to Library
    • Navigate to Projects
    • Open the desired project
    • Click the ⋯ icon
    • Select Share
    • Click Submit
 
 
  • What is it? 
    • Select individual files files directly from the media library or a collection and generate an shareable link. No new media will be added to the link.
    • Media Sharing is not restricted by tags or access management settings

 

  • How to create it?
    • Go to Media Library or any collection
    • Select any media you'd like to share
    • Click on the Link icon from the menu on the right
    • Add a Name and Description
    • Click Submit
 
 
  • What is it? 
    • Select media based on tags to generate an external link. The link will automatically show any media that contains the tags specified (and exclude the media specified in Cannot access field).

 

  • How to create it?
    • Go to Distribution > External distribution
    • Select Shareable links tab
    • Click on the New button in the top-right corner
    • Add a Name and configure the access (Can access and Cannot access fields)
    • Click Submit
