• No, a user cannot belong to two external groups simultaneously.

• Each external group carries its own tag-restriction settings, and assigning one user to two groups would create a conflict between those restriction rules.

• If you try to add a user whose email is already in use, the system reports that an account already exists for that email and prompts to log in instead.
