How do I hide media in the fan contest page?

In order for you to make media private on Fan contests, the Media library > Can edit permission permissions should be enabled on your account. 

If you don't see it, reach out to your admin or refer to the Account Type Permissions Overview article for more information.

 

 

❓ Issue/Question

  • We would like the approved photos not to be displayed on the fan contest page. The contest should only serve as a collection tool for us, to then feed our website. Is that possible?
  • How can I hide the media that are showing on the fan contest page?

 

👌 Resolution/Answer

If a media file has already been approved, you can set it to Private so it no longer shows on the fan contest page.

  • Go to Distribution > Content Request and click View on the desired fan contest.
  • You'll see two tabs: Validated and Awaiting Validation. By default, validated media is shown on the fan contest page.
  • To stop a media file from showing, click on it, then open the Settings option in the right-hand sidebar.
  • Under the Private settings section, turn on the Private toggle. The media will no longer be shown on the fan contest page.
