Collection cover image picker shows unrelated media

❓ Issue/Question

  • When I click a new cover image for a folder upload, it brings up a bunch of random photos that are not related. Even if the search is for the specific collection.
  • The photos from the actual collection come up, but then after like 3-4 seconds, it brings up a bunch of photos not related to the collection I am picking a cover photo for

 

👌 Resolution/Answer

  • Workaround
    • Open the collection directly
    • Find the media you want to set as the cover
    • Click the ... (3 dots) at the top right corner
    • Select Set as collection cover

 

🥚 Cause (optional)

  • A bug in the Edit thumbnail - select from library picker caused it to load all media library files instead of filtering by the current collection. The picker would briefly show the correct collection media, then override it with the full library after a short delay.
