Sub-collections did not inherit tags from the parent collection

In order for you to manage collections, the Collection management > Can Edit permission should be enabled on your account.

❓ Issue/Question

  • I have added a competition tag to a collection but when I search with the tag, the collection doesn't appear.
  • The tag I added to the parent collection was not added to the sub-collections by default.

 

👌 Resolution/Answer

  • Open each sub-collection and verify that the “Auto-apply tags from parent collection” option is enabled. To check this setting:
    • Click the three-dot … menu in the top-right corner
    • Select Edit
    • To resolve the issue, enable the feature for all sub-collections.

  • Go to the parent collection, remove the tag, and then add it back. This will trigger the system to reapply the tag to all sub-collections.
