What is the Auto Reframing feature?

Auto Reframe automatically converts videos to a 9:16 vertical format while keeping the main action in view throughout the video. No manual editing is required, and the result is saved as a new version of the original media.
The main action is automatically detected and kept within the frame as the video is converted to a 9:16 vertical format.
- For example, in a soccer game, Auto Reframe can follow the ball and adjust the framing as the action moves toward the goal.
You can track the progress through the Processing, Complete, or Failed status.
Once complete, the reframed video is added to the original media as a new version titled “Auto-reframed {format}.”
- Automatic framing cannot be adjusted or customized. If the result needs correcting, you can use Manual Override to adjust the framing at a specific point in the video.

The reframed format cannot be changed once the video has been generated, and Auto Reframe cannot be run again on an already reframed version.
Auto Reframe can only be applied to the default version of a video.
Manual Override is currently available only at the media level. If a clip created with Auto Reframe needs an adjustment, you’ll need to start the clipping process again from the beginning.
Currently, 9:16 is the only supported reframing format.
Reframing can currently be triggered either automatically through an S3 upload or manually from the UI.
If multiple videos are submitted at once, they are automatically queued and processed progressively. This helps ensure videos are processed successfully without exceeding processing limits
