AI is not tagging a player

In order for you to troubleshoot AI tagging, you might require high level of permissions. 

If you're not able to follow any of the below steps, reach out to your admin or refer to the Account Type Permissions Overview article for more information.

 

 

❓ Issue/Question

  • The AI is not tagging a player in my recent uploads

 

👌 Resolution/Answer

  • Verify the player is linked to the correct team
    • Go to Configure > Team & Players
    • Click Teams and locate the relevant team
    • If the player is not listed under that team, add them before re-uploading media

 

  • Check the player's headshot photo

 

  • Review the player's AI recognition settings
    • Go to Configure > Team & Players > Players
    • Open the player profile and confirm Run facial recognition AI on upload is enabled
    • Confirm Run text recognition AI on upload is enabled
      • Check that the athlete's name matches exactly what appears on their jersey — edit the recognition name if needed

 

  • Check the quality of the untagged media
    • The player's face or jersey name must be clearly visible and legible in the uploaded content

 

  • Re-upload content if the player was added after the original upload
    • If the content was uploaded before the player was added to the platform, re-upload it to trigger recognition
    • The AI only recognizes players on media uploaded after their profile was created — it does not apply tags retroactively
