❓ Issue/Question

  • This recording from Saturday night is not playing properly. When I play around 1845 it skips frames
  • A section of a live recording jumps or shows brief artefacts, while the rest plays normally

 

👌 Resolution/Answer

  • The affected section can't be repaired, because the recording saves the video exactly as it reached ScorePlay
  • Check if a backup recording plays correctly
    • If a backup stream was scheduled for the event, open the backup recording in Live
    • Play the same section that skips in the main recording
    • If it plays correctly, use the backup recording instead and publish it to the Media Library
  • Upload a local recording
    • If there's no backup, or the backup skips too, check whether your encoder kept a local recording
    • Upload it to replace the affected recording
  • Prevent it in future events
    • Check your encoder and the network connection to ScorePlay
    • Restart your encoder before the next session
    • Schedule a backup stream for important events

  • The live feed reaching ScorePlay was briefly interrupted or lost data
  • The recording saves the video as it arrives, so the missing frames show as a jump or brief artefacts
