โ“ Issue/Question

  • How does Auto Reframe work?
  • What does Auto Reframe do?

ย

๐Ÿ‘Œ Resolution/Answer

  • What it does
    • Auto Reframe converts a video to a 9:16 vertical format and keeps the main action in the frame for the whole video
    • It detects the main action and follows it. For example, in a soccer game, it follows the ball as the action moves toward the goal
    • No manual editing is needed
  • Follow the progress
    • The status shows Processing, Complete or Failed
    • Once complete, the reframed video is added to the original media as a new version called Auto-reframed {format}
  • Adjust the result
    • You can't customize the automatic framing. If the result needs a fix, use Manual Override to adjust the framing at a specific point in the video
    • How to auto reframe video media?
  • Enable the feature
    • Reach out to your CSM to discuss pricing and setup, or contact the ScorePlay Support team via the Live Chat for more information

๐Ÿ”– Notes

  • 9:16 is the only supported format for now
  • Auto Reframe only works on the default version of a video
  • You can't change the format of a reframed video, and you can't run Auto Reframe again on a reframed version
  • Manual Override is only available at the media level. If a clip made with Auto Reframe needs an adjustment, start the clipping process again
  • Reframing starts either automatically through an S3 upload or manually from the platform
  • If you submit several videos at once, they are queued and processed one after the other, so processing limits aren't exceeded
