How do I schedule a live event in ScorePlay?

In order for you to schedule a live stream on ScorePlay, the Live > Can schedule in stream permission must be enabled on your account.

If you're unable to follow any of the steps below, kindly reach out to your admin or refer to the Account Type Permissions Overview article for more information.

👌 Resolution/Answer

  • Go to Live
  • Click the Schedule tab
  • Click New schedule at the top right corner

 

For PUSH Schedules

  • Select Receiver from the receiver drop-down list
  • Enter Ingest Name (Required)
  • Enter Start date and time (Required)
    • Set the start time later than the current time, otherwise the ingest won't start
    • Use your local time zone
  • Enter End date and time (Required)
    • You can also use the Duration slider to set the length of your live ingest
    • Use your local time zone
  • Click Next
  • (Optional) To save the recording to a collection, turn on Save to media library

  • Select the Collection where you want the live ingest recording to be published (Required)

  • (Optional) Add tags
  • (Optional) Select a live ingest preset
  • Available to
    • Select the account types that should have access to the live media. If an account type is not selected, users with that account type will not be able to see the live ingest, even if they have the required Live and Media Library permissions
  • Click Create
 
 

For PULL Schedules

On the Pull tab, choose one of the 2 sub-tabs: Receiver or Manual URL

Receiver

Click the Receiver tab to choose a Pull receiver

Click + to create a new Pull receiver

Then fill in the following fields:

  • Enter Ingest Name (Required)
  • Enter Start date and time (Required)
    • Set the start time later than the current time, otherwise the ingest won't start
    • Use your local time zone
  • Enter End date and time (Required)
    • You can also use the Duration slider to set the length of your live ingest
    • Use your local time zone
  • Click Next
  • (Optional) To save the recording to a collection, turn on Save to media library

  • Select the Collection where you want the live ingest recording to be published (Required)

  • (Optional) Add tags
  • (Optional) Select a live ingest preset
  • Available to
    • Select the account types that should have access to the live media. If an account type is not selected, users with that account type will not be able to see the live ingest, even if they have the required Live and Media Library permissions
  • Click Create
 
 

Manual URL

Click the Manual URL tab to enter your SRT/RTMP destination

Then fill in the following fields:

  • Enter Ingest Name (Required)
  • Enter Start date and time (Required)
    • Set the start time later than the current time, otherwise the ingest won't start
  • Enter End date and time (Required)
    • You can also use the Duration slider to set the length of your live ingest
  • Click Next
  • (Optional) To save the recording to a collection, turn on Save to media library

  • Select the Collection where you want the live ingest recording to be published (Required)

  • (Optional) Add tags
  • (Optional) Select a live ingest preset
  • Available to
    • Select the account types that should have access to the live media. If an account type is not selected, users with that account type will not be able to see the live ingest, even if they have the required Live and Media Library permissions
